Autumn Park & Hidden Creek Settlement
On January 8, 2019, the Consumer Protection Unit of the Delaware Department of Justice’s Fraud Division reached a settlement with the owners of two apartment complexes in Newark sued for consumer fraud.
Anyone who was a tenant at Autumn Park between March 13, 2012 and June 30, 2017, or a tenant of Hidden Creek between March 13, 2012 and the present, will need to complete a claim form and supply certain supporting documentation, including a copy of your lease, in order to confirm eligibility. If you do not have a copy of your lease, please complete the Tenant Affidavit for the community you lived in. If you lived in both communities during the relevant time frame, please supply your lease or the Tenant Affidavit for both communities.
You are not guaranteed to receive funds by submitting this claim form, nor are you guaranteed a specific dollar amount if funds are issued to you after review of your claim. The amounts you may be entitled to receive are not restitution and are not intended to make you whole, nor does issuance of a payment to you serve as evidence of a violation of the law in any respect.
