ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST I, (Pay Grade 7)
                         Criminal Division, Superior Court Unit, (Felony Trial) Kent County

Job Responsibilities and Duties: This Administrative Specialist provides secretarial support to Deputy Attorneys General in the Criminal Division, Superior Court Unit in the Kent County office.  The incumbent organizes and present indictments to the Superior Court.  The incumbent sets up files, runs criminal record checks, types informations, indictments, requests reports, answers discovery, manages calendars and prepares subpoena lists.  The incumbent types briefs for filing in the Supreme Court and documents for grand juries.  In addition, the incumbent types and files motions, requests continuances and sets u and maintains Superior Court files.  The incumbent maintains victim and witness contact and transcribes taped dictation.  The incumbent, along with other administrative staff, will fill in as back up to the Kent County receptionist phones.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Must possess excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.  Must be able to transcribe dictation accurately, answer telephones and take accurate messages.
