   Mortgage MODIFICATION  

  

 

Mortgage Modification Service Providers are required to be bonded and registered with the Office of the Attorney General beginning March 21, 2012. Homeowners exploring options for mortgage modifications can contact their lenders or a non-profit HUD approved housing counseling agency. Businesses offering to contact a lender or prepare the required documents on behalf of a homeowner for the purpose of improving the terms of a mortgage loan must be registered.
