BRADY ELECTED AS CHAIR OF THE EXECUTIVE WORKING GROUP ON PROSECUTORIAL RELATIONS

(Wilmington, DE): Attorney General M. Jane Brady has been elected Chair of the Executive Working Group on Prosecutorial Relations, a national forum for Attorneys General, District Attorneys and United States Attorneys to discuss law enforcement and prosecution issues of mutual concern. The Executive Working Group is comprised of six representatives from each member organization: the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) and the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ). Attorney General John Ashcroft regularly attends meetings of the Executive Working Group.

The Executive Working Group, which meets quarterly at the USDOJ offices in Washington, D.C. at the invitation of the Attorney General, focuses on issues of common interest to federal, state and local prosecutors such as the Patriot Act, computer crimes, identity theft and immigration matters. The group seeks to enhance the working relationship between and among law enforcement authorities and identify emerging issues confronting prosecutors at all levels. Attorney General Brady serves on the Executive Working Group as a representative of NAAG and was elected to her one year term as Chair at its February 25th meeting. The group is slated to meet again in late Spring.
