Brady Files to Protect Delaware’s Environment
(Wilmington, DE): Attorney General M. Jane Brady filed a Petition for Review of the final rule of the United States Environmental Protection Agency regarding New Source Review today in the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Brady issued the following statement regarding the filling:
“I have today filed a Petition for Review of the Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations involving New Source Review. I have a number of concerns about the impact of some of the provisions in those regulations on the environment in Delaware. I am not satisfied, after speaking with DNREC officials, and seeking information on our issues from the EPA, that I have answers to all those concerns.
This issue is complex. Even the scientists don't agree. I am filing to protect Delaware's interests while I sort through the actual impact of the implementation of these regulations. I will continue to work with DNREC and EPA to address the concerns, and to develop a state plan that assures the protection of the environment in Delaware.”
